What Will I Need? A Moving Equipment Checklist

Read below for a complete equipment check for your move-in day.

At Jones Rental, we know you might not have the right equipment prepared for your move-in date. After all, who wants to store trailers, dollies, and other bulky equipment? We've got you covered when you need to know what to rent. Below, we've made a special checklist that you can use when you shop our rentals*:

Moving boxes

Pack up your fragile items with moving boxes to avoid damage and efficiently transport your items.

Appliance cart(s)

Once you have your boxes ready to go, don't hurt yourself trying to move one box at a time. Appliance carts, or dollies, are efficient because they can be used to move multiple boxes from point A to B in half the time. They come with two or four wheels, and our aluminum ramps can assist with easier accessibility. Depending on your load and the size of your moving crew, you may want to rent more than one for maximum efficiency.

Trailer

Trailers are a practical option for those traveling a long distance or those who don't want to make multiple loading trips from the moving site to the new building. Our trailers offer a large amount of space for everything you need.

Ladder

You may want to rent a ladder for those hard-to-reach places and spaces. This is especially true if you see yourself needing to access the roof area or a hidden attic room/cellar.

Moving blanket(s)

Moving blankets are large blankets that usually weigh at least 5 pounds. This is because you can place them underneath a large item; just drag the blanket and move the object across the room. These blankets may also be used as coverings to avoid damage to interior walls while moving.

And there you have it, your rental equipment checklist! *Please note that some of these items may be rented out, so be sure to contact Jones Rental in advance before your date. Visit us in Ashland, Ohio, or call (419) 207-8800 for more information.
